Sitting alone I wonder,
am I truly alone in this world?
I sit waiting for the phone to ring
or for a knock at the door--
Still I go to bed without having seen anyone.
It is very sad to be alone -
The longing to have family and friends
come by is just almost unbearable!
I sit by the window and watch
Just as I have so many days before,
still - no one.
Do you think I will be missed when I am gone?
Probably, just for a fleeting moment of time
There are some that will act like they are
really hurt that I am gone
They are the ones that will cry the loudest -
But the few that will really miss me, will
look back on cherished times
Whether they are happy or sad
You see These few will be true friends!
