Sinedot Frame Tutorial

This tutorial was written by me on October 25, 2004 and any resemblance to other tutorials is purely coincidental. You may use this tutorial for personal use only. Do not distribute in other groups, post on a website or send in email without express permission of me, Arleen Williams aka Deltalady.

This is done in PSP 7 but could probably be done in other versions.
This is a very easy tutorial to do. You may use the colors and tube of your choice.

You may obtain Jasc PSP demo version (Here)
Sinedot II filter (Here)
Eyecandy 4000 demo (HERE)

Let's begin. Remember to save often.

Open new frame of 400 x 400 pixels, transparent.
Open your tube or image.

Resize tube to 50%.
Edit, Copy, Paste as new layer - centered

Click on layer 1 (background) flood fill with color of choice (black or a dark colored background will allow the sinedot image to show more clearly)

Add new raster layer
Go to effects, plug-in, Dragonfly, Sinedot II

At the bottom, center of the sinedot screen there is a save, delete ,open.
Click on the little arrow and you should see crepes filter in there. Click on it.
Change the color to your choice of color, and blend should be on overlay.
Click OK
Go to effects, Geometrics, Perspective Vertical. Resize to 70% and move to top.

This is the first one.

Copy, paste as new layer, effects, flip. Use your mover tool to arrange equally top and bottom images.

This is what you should have.

Go back to image, paste as new layer.
Image rotate 90 degrees left.
Resize to 60%

Repeat above step except rotate to right.

Do the above steps until you get as many or as few of the sinedot images as you want behind your tube.

Mine has the two larger ones and six smaller ones.

Merge, merge visible
Image resize 80%
Crop

Now is when you add borders if you choose to.

Borders

Go to image; add borders, symmetrical 10, ok
Click on magic wand.
Make foreground color gradient (this should be of your original background color and a lighter color)
Background should be a complimentary light color (one that a gradient would go well with)
Click on border with magic wand to make the marching ants go around the frame. Flood fill with gradient
Effects, plug-in, Eyecandy 4000, glass, ok (use default that comes up when you open Eyecandy glass)

Add another border, if desired, of symmetrical 20 and follow same instructions as above for first border.

This is the final image you should have if you choose to add six small ones.

Add new raster layer
Add your watermark
You're done!

I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial.
