You see, I use to watch my grandmother crochet and found it fascinating! I guess at 14 she thought I was ready to learn the secret of her creations. She made the most beautiful bedspreads, all using that thin thread! Not only bedspreads, but she made beautiful dolls. I can still visualize those dolls in my mind. I wanted so much to be able to do that! But alas, I had to wait till she thought I could learn it I guess lol She started me out with just a simple chain. Boy did I ever think I was something when I completed the chain lol She was proud of me too. Then she taught me the basic granny squares. I think that is when I fell in LOVE. I have been doing them ever since. I have even taught my son and my brother how to do a basic double crochet afghan! As for knitting, I do not know how to knit. I think the articles made from knitting are beautiful also and hope to some day learn how to knit. But for now, I am putting up a submission section where those of you that do knit can submit photos of things you have knitted and/or instructions for those of us that do not know how. If you would like to submit a photo of crochet or knitted items, please click here. Please give the name of your article and as much detail as possible for my readers. Here are some links I thought you would like. Crochet Bulletin Board Recommended Books: ![]() ![]() The Top 100 Craft Sites Report updates every 30 minutes and resets every 7 days.
