Cut your square plastic canvas then cut out the design.
The easiest way I found to cut the design correctly is
to mark the design on the canvas with an erasable marking
pen. Sharps® is very good for this. Do not worry if you
have to use a permanent marker, because the stitches will
cover up the markings.
