Handmade Pillow Doll Pattern and Instructions

PILLOW DOLLS

BODICE


Starting at neck edge, with size G hook ch.17.
ROW 1:(right side): Sc in 2nd ch from hook and each
rem ch across (16sc). ch ,turn.

ROW 2: work 2 sc in each sc across (32 sc). ch 1, turn.

ROW 3: sc in each sc across (32 sc). ch 1, turn.

ROW 4: sc in first sc,*2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc;
rep from * across to last sc, 2 sc in last sc
(48 sc). ch 1, turn.

ROW 5: sc in each sc across (48 sc). ch 1, turn.

ROW 6: (shape armholes): sc in first 7 sc, ch 4, sk next
10 sc(for left armhole), sc in next 14 sc,
ch 4, sk next 10 sc (for right armhole),
sc in last 7 sc. ch 1, turn.

ROW 7: sc in each sc and ch across (36 sc). ch 1, turn.

ROW 8: sc in each sc across (36 sc). ch 1, turn.

ROW 9: sc in first 6 sc, dec over next 2 sc
(to dec. draw up a lp in each of next
2 sc-3 lps now on hook, yo and draw
through all 3 lps on hook: dec made),
sc in next 2 sc, * dec over next 2 sc,
sc in next 3 sc; rep from * twice more,
dec over next 2 sc, sc in next 2 sc,
dec over next 2 sc, sc in last 5 sc
(30 sc), ch 1, turn.

ROW 10-14: sc in each sc across (30 sc).
ch 1, turn. At end of row 14,
ch 3 (in place of ch 1),turn.

SKIRT

ROW 15; Dc in first sc, *2 dc in next sc, dc
in next sc; rep from * across to last
sc, 2 dc in last sc (45 dc- not
counting ch-3). Finish off; DO NOT turn.

ROW 16: With right side facing you, use size G
hook and rejoin yarn with a sl st in
top of ch-3 at beg of previous row, ch 3,
* dc in each of next 2 dc, 2 dc in next
dc; rep from * across (60 dc). finish
off; DO NOT turn.

ROW 17: With right side facing you, rejoin
with sl st in top of ch-3 at beg of
previous row, ch 3, * dc in next 3 dc,
2 dc in next dc; rep from * across
(75 dc). finish off; DO NOT turn.

ROW 18: With right side facing you rejoin
with a sl st in top of ch-3 at beg of
previous row, ch 3, dc in each dc
across (75 dc), join with a sl st in
top of beg ch-3. (NOTE: from now on,
you will be working in rnds instead
of rows.) ch 3, do not turn.

RND 19: * dc in next 4 dc, 2 dc in next dc;
rep from * around, join (as before)-
90 dc. ch 3, do not turn.

RND 20: * dc in next 5 dc, 2 dc in next dc;
rep from * around, join (105 dc). ch 3, do not turn.

RND 21: dc in next 6 dc, 2 dc in next dc;
rep from * around, join (120 dc). ch 3, do not turn.

RND 22: dc in each dc around, join (120 dc).
ch 3, do not turn.

RND 23: * dc in next 7 dc, 2 in next dc; rep
form * around, join (135 dc). ch 3,
do not turn.

You can go as many rnds as you want.
The more rnds, the bigger the pillow,
and to make it a small pillow use less rnds.


PILLOW TOP

Starting at waist edge, ch 30, join
with a sl st in beg ch to form a ring
( being careful not to twist ch).

RND 1: (right side): ch 1, sc in same ch as
joining and each rem ch around, join
with sl st in beg ch-1 (30 sc-not
counting ch-1). ch 2,do not turn.

RND 2: * Hdc in each of next 2 sc, 2 hdc
in next sc; rep from * around, join
with a sl st in top of beg ch-2
(40 hdc-not counting ch-2).ch 2,do not turn.

RND 3: * HDC in next 3 hdc, 2 hdc in next
hdc; rep from * around, join(as
before)-50 hdc ch 2,do not turn.

RND 4: * HDC in next 4 hdc, 2 hdc in next
hdc; rep from * around, join(60 hdc).
ch 2,do not turn.

With each rnd, add that many hdc per rnd.
When you get the pattern going-- go as many
rnds for as big as you want it. It needs to be
a little bigger than the dress but not to much bigger.

On last rnd working in back lp of sts for this rnd
only, hdc in each hdc around, join. Finish off and
weave in ends.
